Christmas Olympics~

HO~HO~HO~~
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!

Hey guys!
Did you guys enjoy the Christmas Olympics??
Or any of you missed it??

Aww... don't worry....
Just keep a lookout on our HKMaS Facebook page and you'll definitely not miss out a thing!! :)

Once again, we had successfully ended our Christmas Event. :)
As year 2012 is the year for the London Olympics, we had proposed a "Christmas Olympics" event!!
Around 30 participants turned up and taken part in our activities.
By being themed "Olympics", we did really planned a few energetic games for everyone.

So, before launching the event, we had our warm-up exercises, inspired by our lovely event organiser~!!
It was a tiring yet thrilling and exciting morning exercises :P...

After the warm-up session, the participants began to split and allocate into groups of four.
We have prepared six games in total:-

Jubilee throw (top left)
"Basket" ball (top right)
Sumo wrestling (Upper middle)
Captain Ball (Lower middle)
One-leg-run (bottom left)
Skipping rope (bottom right)
So each group has the chance to play every one of the games. The most exciting game would be none other than the Captain Ball. It is something like netball, without the real basket. Instead of using an actual basket as a goal, a participant from each team would be the goal.

As for the Jubilee Throw, it was inspired by the ran shot. Instead of the usual heavy metal ball, we used a very light paper plane to be thrown to the required area. Some of you may think it is easy peasy, but... hiak hiak, think again!!! Not everyone can throw a plane properly.

Lastly, the most interesting part would be the One-Leg-Run. This is a bonus game, so all the groups are to compete with each other in the open wide field (to avoid the painful impact of falls to the ground). Everyone were to use one of their hands to hold one of the foot of their partners in front and hop all the way to the end. The team mates must hold on tightly to each other so as not to have a loose grip. Failing to do so, they would need to start all over again.

And now... Moment of truth, all games will always have the WINNER.
.... Ta-dah!! The wining team is on the top left of the below picture.
Congratulations, you've earned it!!!! *CLAPS*

Well, those that did not win were too sad themselves,

we did still prepare everyone crackers and greeting cards to bring away.
It is uncommon to have Christmas crackers at our home town.
So, we would like everyone to experience the "POPSSS!" of Christmas crackers.

This is our give out gift to all the participants -- Crackers and Greeting Cards.

Lastly, like always there is refreshments for everyone after the "gruesome" fight to the top.
And there you go! Don't they look delicious? Yummy!!!

As an endnote, we would like to thank all the participants for joining and credits to be giving to our fellow committee members for the job and effort well done and given.

Everyone have done a great job~ :)
